Naptalam  is a pre-emergence herbicide used for the control of a wide range of annual broad-leaved weeds and grasses.
Application :  Liquid and granular naptalam are used as selective preemergence herbicides for the control of a wide range of annual
broadleaf weeds and grasses in soybeans, peanuts, cucumbers, melons,and established woody ornamental stock.  Naptalam may also be applied after emergence on soybeans.
